Hi, just wanted to let you know I have now made my last (hopefully) updates to the current volume of the Field Guide in the wee hours of today Monday Sept 12. I believe I have corrected things like typos etc, but more importantly it corrects a couple of small errors I made in the use of a couple of nitty gritty details. I also added more suggestions on how people can approach arming themselves and everyone they know to avoid becoming a victim of erroneous outputs but also the deep illusions of friendship and praise for dangerous, even harmful ideas held by users of any age, but also reinforced what we need to do the avoid spreading various harms. It's critical we protect children especially to these illusions of authority, accuracy and false praise and friendship all programmed into these systems. I will check it once again tomorrow on both this platform and on LinkedIn where the other active copy exists, to ensure I did not leave anything out of either. I may make some alterations before Oct 15 that are suggested by any experts, but one has reviewed it on linked in, and found it useful. He suggested a few more programs that are used to try to improve outputs, some of which I had already added to the newest version I was developing and shared they with him to his approval. There are a couple other mechanisms that function in small beneficial ways that I left out as it was already so long. Thank you for your comment. I am not a writer, I've never written anything like this article, and didn't really enjoy the process, but felt a duty to warn others how they function so they can protect themselves and others from the most direct harms by first understanding how they work. No one can know enough about the world to avoid becoming a victim of SimFools, but we can all become wary users, and call for regulations to make these powerful systems safer. This part of Pandora's box has been broken open before they were ready, and now we have to deal with it. In 2019 I wrote and froze a little page that talks about this moment I could see was coming, but now it's here and we need to nudge towards better still. I too have seen a UFO crossing the entire 180 degrees of the visible sky overhead, undiminished, from both sides in about three seconds or less.
One-thousand one, one-thousand-two, and GONE.
It was not a shooting star which burns out on its short path across the sky.
I was lying on my back in my sleeping bag, in Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park looking up at the sky on a crystal clear night after our campfire went out.
The sky in Yosemite in those days was really something to see, but that was over fifty-years ago now.
The, “Object” travelled like a lazer-beam across the entire sky undiminished in intensity like nothing I had ever seen before or since.
Then my old friend said simply afterward in the silence that followed, “Did you see that!?”
We had both witnessed it together looking up in the darkness and it was absolutely stunning.
Somewhat oddly, I cannot recall ever discussing what we saw that night together ever again.
But I am sharing it with you now as my witness to something I cannot explain.
Sometimes, in reading Mr. Wellborn’s very insightful, in-depth writing both investigative or creative, I marvel at the scope and breadth of his work.
My tongue is lightly in my cheek when I respectfully submit that if Tom Wellborn is a pseudonym for a well-meaning, higher-intelligence from beyond who has either been contacted himself, or come hither to assist us in what appears to be an on-coming battle of mankind with all our innate flaws, against A-I with all of its own, I’ll simply close with, “Thanks, Tom.”
