Brilliant. You make the case for building a veto-proof majority and passing legislation that: (2) identifies J6 as an insurrection; and (2) sets thresholds and criteria so that all direct and some indirect supporters become ineligible to vote, and ineligible to hold office, serve in any Federally funded position of trust, or receive government funds of any sort. (By indirect, I am thinking of folks like spouses of two Supreme Court justices.) Only then does it make sense to go after individuals.

This is what shows how corrupted the whole system has been for a very long time. They know they’ll get away with it and it will always be wash rinse and repeat.

In the middle of all of those sham investigations they will not address the problems of corporate greed, profiteering and outright frauds that result in prices for everything being 100 percent more. By the time they are done with their horse and pony show, nothing will been solved, no accountability will have occurred, and 2028 will be upon them.

You can guess how that will play out over the massive disappointment over no accountability being delivered by dems because the plan was never to address that or how bad the economy is or will be down the road.

You either force everyone out and start over or you just continue the same tired tropes of hope and change that’s been the bedrock of politics in our time. Republicans rape and pillage and dems are the janitors who are forced to clean up the mess with austerity packages until people are sick of it and bring the rape and pillage packages back by voting for republicans again. Wash rinse and repeat for hundreds of years.

Very thoughtful piece, but depressing because of the likely reality you detail.

New Thing. Fuck this 2-party fix

This is completely unacceptable to me and only throws me further into depression and despair. I'm done. I give up. They'll never face justice and that just guts me. What's it all for if the people truly have no power and never will? A life of servitude and never feeling safe from those who rule us? That's not freedom and I can't live like that. 🫤

"Congress has no power to charge anyone with anything." But they are the go-to if you need a letter of stern admonishment handed out. Our system is so ridiculous. And Trump will absolutely test the constitutionality of pardoning himself; or preload the Constitution by having the Supreme Court decide that he can do just that. Our entire Republic is built on smoke and mirrors. It took We the Sheeple 250 years to figure that out; the authors of Project 2025 knew it a long time ago. The Divided States of Boots on Throats.

My Man,

This is what I’ve been saying but evidently there are those of us who don’t want to hear it.

But I’ve learned the hard way that FACING TRUTH is the ONLY WAY to get through a Crisis and ultimate SOLUTION.

And the Truth is: Trump was IMPEACHED TWICE when he was POTUS the first time!

But NOTHING came of it, because it WAS NOT “ENFORCED”. And without ENFORCEMENT (which required GOP consensus), it DOES NOT MATTER.

And so, Trump REMAINED in the White House as POTUS until his term ended.

And the SAME THING Will UNDOUBTEDLY HAPPEN if attempts at Impeachment are made again. It’s a huge waste of time and OUR TAXPAYERS 💰.

Democrats MUST come up with a SIMPLE, STRATEGIC, and For the MASSES AGENDA that is DOABLE and can be enacted by EXECUTIVE ORDER Immediately once Trump is OUT!

Get the Democratic Voters excited with what a DEMOCRATIC President Can/Will Do.

FOCUS on YOUR SUPPORTERS and the FUTURE 👍🙏

Congress can't indict anyone, they can only refer to DOJ who won't do anything

Instead of Cingressional hearings or instead of going after Trump, why aren't State AGs going after his machine: people who have funded his activities, Musk for data theft & fraud acting with ostensible authority when he had none. NY AG Letitia James charge family, banks & cronies for insider trades. Other state AG's charge Pam Bondi for fraud hiding his crimes in various states. Scott Besset for enabling domestic emoluments (payments for travel to Trump properties in various states). Each state charge ICE for violating State laws

Gas was $4.34 this morning at a discounted Sam's Club gas station---a DIRECT RESULT of the Trump Administration and their grossly, stupid war and retaliatory tariff policies. If this is the stupidity that 30%+ of America still supports and can't admit they made a huge mistake, then we truly deserve the continuing decline of our country. Our Constitution is outdated and assumed the WH woukd be occupied by an honorable man (no woman in that relic either). Our SCOTUS is corrupt and corruption runs through the entire Administration. Nobody can fix this mess that a rabid troll accomplished in 21 months. Buckle up folks, impeachment won't solve any of these problems or eventually land anyone of consequence in jail. All we can hope for is control of one of the 3 branches to rein it in.

AIPAC democrats have been ordered not to vote for impeachment or the money stops flowing to them. You look at Jeffries who has totaled over $1 million in AIPAC money and all those other corrupt dems are all “give me a stack of that paper!” Look at Fetterman: he’s gotten so rich and corrupt with AIPAC money, he gives no fucks about even appearing to want to do his job.

AIPAC democrats are just as corrupt as the republicans are. And they do what it takes to score a payday which includes fucking over their constituents by fucking over honest democrats’ agendas

All the more reason to put forth and vote for DSA & Indy candidates. Consign every Centrist Dem AIPAC piece of Shit Democrat to the trash bin of history, or better yet…Hell.

Fuck The Old Guard!

How do you impeach Bondi when she’s been fired from being AG?

Great analysis and I agree: Impeachment is very unlikely and I don't think that would be enough anyway. Before I started my law career, I worked as a journalist and wrote a book about the nazi war crimes trials after WWII and why Germany needed to do these trials to create a record and to hold accountable the many perpetrators and collaborators. I make the case here for why we need this kind of Truth and Reconciliation here, the moment the Dems take back Congress in November (feedback welcome):

Great post and hopefully many will get impeached to preserve a record of their corruption for history so that we may never forget.

The number of republicans that will be prosecuted, I’m putting my money on ZERO.

Make Jack Smith the Attorney General and maybe, just maybe we'll see some progress.
