The ultimate laugh would be at himself, but of course he is constitutionally unable to do that. You would have to be mature enough, and enjoy a commensurate degree of self-confidence and security to be able to make oneself the butt of the joke, or at least to join in the merriment when someone else does it to you.
I’ve been saying this for a long time about Trump, and I do agree he is truly not able to laugh. He cannot take a joke, especially at his own expense. Also he cannot laugh at himself. Personally I find this an extremely concerning personal trait, and for me it points to some quite serious personality disorders. I’m not a doctor, but in my view you should never trust someone that doesn’t have a sense of humor.
He also does not have a pet. My dog loves to meet people and get pets. He met a narcissist one day, and wanted nothing to do with her. Which is what I imagine any dog would do when meeting trump as well. If you can’t pass the sniff test, there’s no hope for you providing treats. 🦮🦴🐾

It's possible (likely) that l'm biased, but l find that right wingers are very lacking generally, in the area of humour. They laugh, but it's usually a cruel laugh at other's expense. It's as if they can't shrug off their self importance enough to appreciate the silly or ironic.

I've always noticed that too. Plus, whenever he smiles broadly for some posed picture, it always looks fake. I don't think he ever smiles naturally.
The ability to laugh at one's self is very healthy. Just smother sad description of an insecure personality. Scared, always scared.
